The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health.
It is designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes or dementia. As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing one of these conditions. An NHS Health Check can help find ways to lower this risk.
If you’re in the 40 to 74 age group without a pre-existing condition, we aim to invite you for your free health check every five years.
If you are in this age group and new to the surgery, please contact us and we will send you the details.
If, once you’ve had your health check and there is no concern over your blood test results, we will aim to invite you again in five years.
Please note we only have limited Health Check appointments in the surgery and at times when demand is higher we may refer you to HealthyYou for the appointment.
