You can request a repeat prescription by
- Completing the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. Drop this into the letter box out the front of the surgery.
- You can also request a repeat prescription online.
- You can email us prescriptions.burwellsurgery@nhs.net
We no longer accept medication requests by telephone.
If you need to register to use our online repeat prescription ordering service, please speak to one of our receptionists.
Please allow 48 working hours for the surgery to process your request. Please note your selected pharmacy will then need some time to prepare your request (the amount of time needed will depend on your chosen pharmacy).
Dispensary
We have our own dispensary but we can dispense only to those patients who live more than a mile from a chemist.
The dispensary is open from 08:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and is run by our team of qualified dispensers. They are happy to help with any queries or concerns you may have about your medication. They can also advise you on payment for prescriptions, claiming for a prepayment certificate and free prescriptions.
Please note they may need 3 working days to process your request for medication.
Medication reviews
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. When you are due a medication review and we will book you an appointment, this appointment will most likely be a telephone appointment with one of our pharmacists.
